C11500 is a special copper alloy that falls into the category of electrolytically tough pitch copper. This alloy is known for its excellent electrical and high thermal conductivity and is preferred for applications where efficient heat transfer and electrical properties are required. The alloys have a high copper content, typically in excess of 99.90 per cent, but also contain trace amounts of impurities. The presence of these impurities, especially oxygen, affects the electrical conductivity and mechanical properties of the material.
C11500 copper strip is commonly used in electrical and electronic applications such as connectors, terminals and wires, where its excellent electrical conductivity gives it an added advantage. This alloy has good ductility and extensibility and is easy to work with and can be moulded into a variety of shapes to meet specific industrial requirements.
