With the development of science and technology, air conditioning has become an essential part of the household, but to ensure that the air conditioning system for a long time and smooth use, whether it is a cabinet, central air conditioning or split wall-mounted units, in addition to the air conditioning itself is good quality, air conditioning piping and the type of refrigerant is also a very important part.
Refrigerant system piping that is copper pipe, because of the corrosive nature of the refrigerant itself, so that PPR, PEX and other rubber piping can not be used, the only remaining options are steel pipe, aluminum pipe, copper pipe.
So why do we need to choose copper pipe as the piping of the refrigerant system?
Copper pipe is installed as a whole pipe, and made flared, good pressure resistance, not easy to leak refrigerant.
Good ductility, oxidation resistance, strong thermal conductivity, high heat transfer efficiency.
Disadvantages of steel pipe: can not be installed as a whole pipe, because the refrigerant system piping is high-pressure gas, liquid, joints are very easy to rust and aging.
Disadvantages of aluminum pipe: can not do flare, poor pressure resistance, not oxidation resistance, easy to leak.
This is the reason why copper tubes are used as the connecting material in the refrigerant system.
